The set-up features Sony’s Eagle ER8300 4K camera block that utilizes HDMI to send the content to Z3’s HE4K-01 4K video encoder. Two streams (one 4K at 30 fps and one 720p30) are distributed over Ethernet and are made available for decoding, storing and viewing.
“Z³ is proud to be able to complement Sony’s “Eagle” ER8300 4K auto focus zoom camera block with a multi-resolution encoding capability,” Aaron Caldwell, CEO, Z3 Technology said. “Our HE4K-01 offers this extended functionality and is the perfect complement to Sony’s current and future 4K camera block offering.”
The result of this partnership will allow security OEMs to integrate a complete 4K video capture and compression package in their security and surveillance applications. The ability to encode and distribute a single source in multiple resolutions offers the flexibility to record 4K content while also providing an HD stream for control room viewing.
”Sony is delighted to support Z3’s development of the HE4K-01 multi-streaming solution, which offers our OEM customers a ready-made solution to the difficult problem of real-time 4K video encoding”, said John Monti, Director Visual Imaging Solutions, Component Solutions Business Division (CSBD), at Sony Electronics Inc.
The integration of Z3’s HE4K-01 with Sony’s Eagle ER8300 4K camera block will be privately shown in Sony’s CSBD meeting room during the ASIS Show September 28-30, 2015 in Anaheim, CA.
The HE4K-01 with multi-resolution encoding is readily available for purchase direct through Z3 Technology. For more information about this solution, contact sales@Z3technology.com or visit our website www.Z3technology.com/zeus/.
