Overview

The Z3-DM8169-4CH-RPS starter kit allows H.264 High Profile encoding of up to 4x 1080i streams. Multiple interfaces allow customers to quickly integrate H.264 performance into their network while maintaining low power consumption. This solution provides immediate access to integrated system peripherals and production-qualified codecs. The hardware consists of one Z3-DM816x-MOD-3x System on Module card with one Z3-DM8168-APP-5x Application (I/O) Board. The software includes Linux kernel and application packages to allow users to develop their own advanced multimedia, graphics and DSP applications. The application board uses the I/O expansion capability of the Z3-DM816x-MOD to implement additional functions not present in the base module.
