The Z3-HE2160-MOD supports H.265 encode in resolutions up to 2160p30 in streaming and storage modes. The functionality is packed into a compact design, creating an ideal platform for UAV solutions, low-latency and low bit-rate streaming and many other video streaming and recording applications.

“With the release of this new module, our customers do not have to sacrifice functionality for size. We were able to design a system that can handle full 2160p30 video, delivered with the highest efficiency, all in a compact form factor,” Aaron Caldwell, CEO, Z3 Technology said.

The Z3-HE2160-MOD is available as a base model or a rapid production starter kit (RPS), equipped with a hardware package and software bundle designed to enable rapid development of multimedia applications. The Z3-HE2160-RPS consists of one Z3-HE2160-MOD-0x system on module card and one Z3-HE2160-APP-0x (I/O) board, allowing for the expansion of capabilities not present on the base module. The Z3-HE2160-RPS system features encode through HDMI, 3G-SDI and Display Port interfaces and is easily controlled through RS-232 or an HTTP-based GUI.
